We’re pleased to announce that we have officially gained the Cyber Essentials certification from the Indelible Data accreditation body.
Cyber Essentials is a government initiative to encourage businesses to secure their systems and includes a series of specific measures which are designed to protect against common threats. Whilst we were already practising the measures required in the certification, we felt that it was time to more formally demonstrate them and Cyber Essentials seemed the perfect way.
Cyber essentials have required us to pass an onsite vulnerability assessment performed by the certification body and requires evidence of secure configuration of firewalls and other devices capable of connecting to the internet, user access control, the use of anti-virus software and evidence of up to date operating systems.
Aztech IT’s Operations Director Sean Houghton said “We’re delighted to have gained the Cyber Essentials certification, as it demonstrates that as an organisation we are committed to taking the essential precautions to mitigate risk of cyber threats, not just to ourselves but also our clients”.
We have helped several of our clients achieve the Cyber Essentials certification, so if you’re interested in exploring the Cyber Essentials standard then please contact us.
